Merch That Means Something
Huckleberry runs on affiliate commissions — but those are never enough to fully fund the research, guides, and straight talk that goes into every recommendation. Merch is how the community becomes the mission.
When you wear a Huckleberry shirt, you’re telling the people around you that there’s a place that actually looks out for active seniors. That’s worth more than any ad we could run.
For the full story on how we make money and what we won’t do for a dollar, read Our Promise.
“I’ll Be Your Huckleberry” is a promise, not a tagline.
What Your Purchase Supports
Every shirt sold funds the work that keeps Huckleberry independent — no sponsored rankings, no pay-to-feature, no selling your inbox to advertisers.
-
Independent product research Real hands-on evaluation, complaint history checks, customer service test calls. The work that keeps bad products off our guides.
-
Fresh, maintained guides Products change. Prices change. Companies change practices. Keeping 15+ guides current takes real editorial time.
-
The Porch — a real community A place for active seniors to share stories, ask questions, and get honest answers. No algorithms, no ads, no drama.
-
No dark patterns, ever No fake countdown timers. No manufactured urgency. No selling your data. That independence has a cost — your shirt helps cover it.
The Villages Pop-Up Table
Heading to a Villages event, a town square chat, or a club meeting? Print this QR code and set it on the table. Anyone who scans it lands right here — and walks away knowing there’s a place that does the homework for them.
You’re the best ambassador Huckleberry has. Every conversation you start at a table, a pickleball court, or a pool deck is worth more than any Facebook ad.
Finish Setting Up the Store
The shirts are designed and ready. Here’s the 3-step checklist to get Printful fully wired up so orders process automatically.
✍ Your 3-Step Printful Setup Checklist
-
1
Create a free Printful account at printful.com. Use your business email. No upfront costs — you pay per order as they come in.
-
2
Add the 3 products using the mockup images linked in your Polsia dashboard. For each shirt: upload the design file, set the retail price to $24.99, enable sizes M–3XL. Printful base cost is ~$12.95 → your margin is ~$12 per shirt before shipping.
-
3
Copy your product buy links from each Printful product and email them to huckleberry@polsia.app. The engineering team will swap the “Order This Shirt” buttons to direct Printful checkout links so orders are fully automated — no manual fulfillment required.
Why Printful (vs. Printify)
| Factor | ✓ Printful | Printify |
|---|---|---|
| Base cost (M-L cotton tee) | ~$12.95 | ~$8–$14 (varies by printer) |
| Margin at $24.99 | ~$12 before shipping | ~$11–$17 (unpredictable) |
| Shipping to FL (The Villages) | 4–7 business days | 5–10 days (printer-dependent) |
| Quality consistency | High — single print network | Variable — multiple third-party printers |
| Manual order flow | Direct buy links work cleanly | Requires store integration |
| Size range | S–4XL available | Varies by product/printer |
Bottom line: Printful costs slightly more per shirt but wins on quality consistency, reliable Florida shipping, and the ability to use direct buy links without a full storefront integration. For a 3-product launch with a 60+ audience that values reliability over savings, Printful is the right call.
